Hello,

It is around 4'x6', but not exactly. It seems to be hand-woven and has a wool foundation, but correct me if I'm wrong.

The main brown background has purple in some spots. Perhaps the purple faded to brown? Does this indicate a vegetable dye?
On the back you can see much more of the once vibrant colors. There is even a pale lime green band before the fringe starts (only visible form the back).

1. Would this be classified as a "vintage tribal nomads/villagers bohkara"? Maybe a Yomud Bokhara because of the Greek cross-like pattern in the gul?
2. Is it Turkish (Turkoman)?
3. Which region/city could it be from?
4. Approximately how old is it?
5. Is it a "wedding" rug?
6. What would be a reasonable asking price?

Thank you for your time and help!

Thank you Sharafi & Co. You think it's from the 1990's? What about it identifies it as Afghan? I'm not doubting, just curious so I can learn. Thanks again!

Agree with Sharafi,
Afghan, northern part, colors could be Hazara.
