Hi,
I purchased two rugs yesterday that have me stumped. First is this kilim (or soumak?), modern, very good condition. Only thing I noted (yet) is a bit of curl in the corners. Turkish? Caucasian? I didn't think Indian with the type of cotton it is woven on. In any case, can someone tell me more about it? Size is about 4 1/2 X 7 1/2 feet.
Thanks,
Bruce

Its a very fine Afshar Sirjan kilim and I think the colours are natural dyes. It looks to be from about 10 to 20 years ago. Very good kilim. They are quite pricey.
