Can anyone identify this rug and quality thanks, all I was told it is silk. It is pliable with short soft pile dimensions 4' x 5'

I think it is a Pakistan and it is not silk but mercerised cotton. Hope you have not paid a lot of money for it, as they do not have much of a second hand value

This is a kashmiri silk rug. Sharif is right. This is not a cocoon silk. This is called mercerised cotton or flosh or artificial silk.
