Hi folks

colours have run in this one, not sure whether it justifies significant expense in getting it restored.

A run of the mill Turkish kilim ?

thanks

Steven

I believe its a Qashqai Kilim Circa 1920 and quite fine. Whether one wants to spend money on any antique is a very personal decision depending on the attachment you have to that piece. To buy this piece in a shop in good condition you would have to pay the very minimum of £1500 and most probably higher. Personally I think it worth repairing and keeping.

Thanks for the review Mr Sharafi, and the kind words. I know the colours are not to every taste but alongside the right furniture/decor it can be quite attractive.

Would it be possible to address the colour runs do you think ? If I could get the run out of the outer two medallions I would be happy, as long as it doesnt make these too bright and stand out too much.

thanks again

Steven
