Ok. I know this guy has many issues which includes it's color runs in the outer border and fringe loss. There also some a couple of small moth nicks in the guard border. The wool is like moss velvet and there are no worn areas. BUT, does the Rugrag think this pictorial has enough value to be repaired? Can the color runs be removed in the border?? Also, since these are all Chrome dyes, why would the dark brown run in the outer border, but not in the major, center part of the rug? The center part of the rug is perfect with no problems. This is a larger pictorial measuring 43" by 66" with 6It has silk warp, silk highlights, and that soft moss velvet feel to the pile. Kpsi is @525.

It is an Isfehan. I think if it is restored then the auction value will be about $1500 to $2500. Whether then it is worth it depends on how much you will charged to have it repaired and how well they do it.

based on your description of the wool, it's possibly kork? I would agree with prior, does appear to be a hand knotted Isfahan. Dye migration can be mitigated by an expert, although often times this comes at great cost, and perhaps even mediocre results.
