Found this at an estate sale with 4 other Tekke and Turkmen pieces I bought. This diminutive piece measures 17 inches by 14 inches. It has lustrous dark blue wool and a rich coral red and an interesting slit kilim on one end. Is this a wedding dowry piece? It has Turkish knot from my reckoning and double wefted. Is it later 19th century, from what region, and what was it used for? Thank you for your help.
