Hi Nick,
What a gorgeous rug. My guess ...Vase and Tree of Life design, 1910 Kerman? But then I looked online and in my books and it could be an Isfahan, a Kasan, or a Teheran rug. Gorgeous jewel-like colors and what about those serpents in the bottom spandrels? It's a mesmerizing rug. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a 1920s Sabsevar, Khorassan Province, to me.

I agree that it looks like Chorasan or Kerman.

What makes me think it is not from this area are the following things:

Kilim Shirazi with 2 warps

Turkish knots

Design details.

So it looks that it is north west persian or turkish. My guess from the images is Kayseri.

I think KAD makes a very valid point. I discounted the selvedge, as it looked new and seemed to be relatively recently done and went with the other factors in the rug. But if the fringe is original then I would be wrong.
