Got this one yesterday at a local estate sale. Think it's 1890's, ... Faraghan, Josan??? No low pile, borders are mostly in tact.

Im my view not Farahan or Jozan. All 3 borders look more north western, also knot structure. Looks more like Ardebil area
or Miyaneh village. 1930-40.

Nick and KAD, thank you for your responses and the info. I was thinking that it was earlier than 1930 because of the angular flowers, the mordant sea foam green. It has a fair high knot count with the sand paper feel of knots on the back. I posted a few more pics. Can you have a look? Thanks!

Hi Cartona,
Nice rug. Great find! I can't say where it is from but I don't think the cotton fringes look 125 years old.

I think it is around 1900 and Saruk Farahan.

beautiful piece, my guess is Farahan more than anything else. I would recommend you have it restored as soon as possible.
