This has a silk center back ground and the rest is wool on wool. Looks Persian to me. Is it a Shahsavan sumak horse cover...jajim???
I got this one at a tag sale of a former rug collector whose collection was being sold off by her family after they chose their favorites.

You are right but it is not a jijim, which is a different weaving technique to Sumack which this piece is. The dyes are chemical and not very good.
