We are currently in Frankfurt and had the opportunity to go to KAD's store and meet 'KAD' and his wife. In the tradition of the RugRag, KAD spent a lot of his time showing us his rugs and educating us on them. My friends were spell bound and we have some new recruits. As a result, my friends who live in Frankfurt want to know more about what their rugs are that belonged to their family over ther last 50 years. I believe I correctly identified one of them, but this one I am not sure about. It has a back and border reminiscent of a Kashan, but not the design or the fringes. I believe its red color to be the cochineal red, so I assume it is from the eastern part of Iran. Please help me identify it. I believe its age is 1960's. The rug measures @7 x10.
