This is another piece I purchased at Edelmann Galleries in NYC in the 1980's. It is a kilim or slit tapesty, size is about 91" X 46". Tag says it is from Afghanistan, but I think Edelmann said it was from Turkestan. Condition is pretty good, but does have a couple stains. Was this called a Bokhara Kilim in the trade at one time? Also note that the foundation is the same tan hair(?) as the pile rug I just posted. The backside is a mass of loose threads. What can you tell me about it. Thanks for any help.
