This carpet has similarities to a small type of rugs made in India in the 1980s - however, it is so remotely identified that I am inclined to say the rug may have been made in another weaving country other than India. At any rate, the design is Bijar with Herati

Sharafi,

Can you tell me why you think it is a Zenzan. I was looking at the fringe, the colors, and the selvege to tell if it is from India. I have seen several of these recently-- Bijar/ Herati design. I was wondering how to identify their origin. Can you help me understand that?

The fringe initially, as the Indian fringes are different. The colour combination And the wool. The weave. But I find in the main rugs from different origins have different characters that one can recognise from experience and seeing a large number of them. With some pieces it is their character that really stands out.

It is indian. Probably made in Jaipur, wool is typical. Design is 100% persian. These rugs were made in the 1980´s.
