I wonder if anyone here is knowledgeable enough to decipher the following script. I have now seen the exact same script on several Tibetan ‘Tsuk-Druk’ style rugs and am wondering what it means exactly.

A Chinese person (selling one of the rugs I saw) told me it was the Buddhists incantation ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’. (However as can be seen in the 2nd image below, it is not that incantation as written in Tibetan script.)

A Tibetan told me that it seemed like it was a person’s name. (However, given I have seen the exact same script on a several rugs from various sources I wouldn’t think it the same person’s name on different rugs from different sources myself, but…………)

Another Tibetan told me that it wasn’t Tibetan script at all.

Any help appreciated!
