Hi there...I have a rug that was described as a Turkomen when I bought it but I don't think it is...although it may be Turkomen style?? (Is it?) I'm not even sure if it's hand knotted...I can usually tell but the knots on this are small and regular and the sides look pretty uniform. I've seen a few rugs like this. It was also described as silk but I'm pretty sure it's wool on a cotton base. I think it might be machine made from Pakistan. What do you think?

Dimensions are 95 x 137 cm.

Pics attached.

Cheers

Hi,
Rug is hand knotted, probably Pakistan, foundation is not silk, but cotton. It is partially a Turkmen design. Knot may be Jufti knot-- tied over 4 warps which makes it look finer than it is. Turkmen may be lighter colors, but this blue is unusual. Hope this helps. Also rug is newer.

It is hand knotted and I suppose you can say it has hints of Turkman but its a Pakistan, which some dealers call white talim.
