Wool on wool 52"x122"
Does have a 3" hole next to 3" dog bite
Full borders top bottom and edges
Peacock, other animals and human figures
Peacock make me think of akstafa, but peacocks are in border
and medallions aren't typical akstafa.

Any thoughts? Yes, has holes, but really question if I should spend to repair or leave as is.

Thanks Nick. Let's assume it will cost $1700 for repair. How expensive
would it be to buy a like rug already repaired or without this condition problem? I'll attach a couple better pictures

At first I thought this rug could be somewhat old. After looking more carefully I do not believe that to be the case. I think this may be an Afshar if it has red weft. Images are too blurry to say

I think it's a Qashqai. If a good repair is done then I think you won't be able to buy it less than $4000 in a shop. Whether it is worth to pay that much ch to have it repaired depends greatly on the quality of repair.

Quasghai or khamse, nice piece, repair shouldn't be that much.
