The images are very poor. I don't think the rug has so much hint of yellow. However, I am going to have a stab at it and that is what it is. I think it is from one of the Tabriz villages. From these poor images I would say it is about 50 to 60 years old. In fact it could be much less if the colour was a bit clearer. I believe this may be Siberian perhaps. Please let us know what work has been performed to this carpet as per your knowledge. It appears as though the selvages may be new or not original to the style of weave.

Thank you for replying. It has this orangish sort of colour all over. The work done by me = a piece of the rug in one corner was torn in a straight line; about 3 or 4 feet alongside the corner but was still attached; i hired a local craftsman here in Pakistan who did a good job to put it back together.I am not aware of any other work. I believed it to be much older but obviously i am no expert. I know for sure this rug must have been bought before 1960; because it was in the house since my great grandfather; even older than that. Any hint as to the value?

I recently saw an old anatolian rug which resembles this one; but lesser decorated.

I can´t see any relation to Tabriz at all. Most likely not Iranian. Knot structure, warp and kilim ends with knots and colors would fit with post WW II Russian / Caucasian production, maybe around Baku. 1950-60.

@Rugpro : Uploading colour accurate photos this time; the previous ones were taken at night and the images were affected by the lighting. Hkhan attached the following image(s):

There are 10 to 12 colours and shades in the rug. The exact size is 22 feet length and 11.5 ft breadth.

I know what you mean. But, the rug appears to be hand knotted. I think the rug was probably made in Turkey perhaps, then the selvage was perhaps replaced or rewoven sometime more recently
