I purchased this wool (Sarouk?) rug at an estate sale for $75.00 US. It is 50” X 75”. The pile is full and even save for a discrete small area where the pile has been singed. Would someone please confirm its style/region of origin and provide some info as to its age and value? Thanks very much for your time!

It doesn't happen too often that you find an extremely good deal. This appears to be the case here. 1940's Persian Sarouk. Open field is not as valuable as covered.
