Looks to be a sort of mahal or Hamadan. Weave looks quite fine, although you are seeing both sides to the knot on the back.

I agree with Nick.. looks like a PAK to me. I saw some really good Chinese copies of PAK Bokharas this weekend. I was sure it was PAK til I looked at the label on the reverse side which said China. The wool looks too fuzzy.

So if it's a PAK is that good or bad? Now that it's clean it really is pretty! Does any one have a guess on age? Thanks all for your expert insight.... I would be totally lost without this forum!

It is a Pakistan and the design is a bit unusual. They do not really have that much of a second hand value, but it is not a bad quality one for a Pakistan.
