This rug has a heriz design, but the colors don't seem quite right-- maybe because it is 1970's??? Also it has a wool warp. This puzzles me since Heriz usually have a cotton warp. . knot appears to be Persian, with the expected 80 or so KPSI? We bought this rug about 26 years ago and was told that it was a Heriz from Persia. Question...Can anyone tell me its origin and age? Is it a Heriz design made in another part of Persia?? I know it is at least 26 years old (have pic of daughter standing on it in a Halloween costume when she was 5 and we got it before she was born). It measures 8' 6 " by 11' 7".

Heriz style. Yes, Heriz can have wool warp, but it is rare and unusual. This rug appears to have been made in Turkey recently, 1980's -2000.

I think it is Persian and woven in the Azarbijan area. I think it might be a production that they did in Ardebil with Heriz design. It is a nice rug.

I think it is turkish. First thought was Ardebil but the kilim style at the fringes looks more turkish.
