First time posting -

We acquired this rug privately in NYC from an elderly couple who went back to live in London. It is approximately 6ft 4inches by 10ft. My wife and I are enjoying this piece so we are not interested in selling at this time, but we are interested in learning more about it. In particular, this piece has an attached stone medal of some sorts. It may not have any significance, but might as well ask. Thank you for your input. Pete

And the last pic. We suspect the rug to be silk.

The design is based on Qom rugs, but the rug itself appears to be an adaptation from another weaving country other than Iran.
