Hello everyone,
There was a recent post of an antique Sarouk Ferahan. When I first joined the forum in February, my first post was of a antique rug the forum identified as an antique Feraghan. The size is @51 inches by 86 inches. I have it hanging and I have never had it cleaned. Is the proper name for this rug Ferahan Sarouk or Sarouk (Sarough) Feraghan or just Feraghan (Ferahan). I know there is a difference between Ferahan and Ferahan Sarouk. Thanks!

Fereghan. Not sarouk farahan, just fereghan. Sarouk farahan does not show the other half of the rug knot node, and often will be found to have a tighter weave than this. This would be considered a good rug

Thankyou Sharafi and RugPro. I really appreciate the time you spent on this and allowing me to ask more questions about an earlier post. The forum is great and thanks so much for supporting it.
