I would appreciate any comments on the rug whose photos I've attached, in particular as to where it might have been made. Its construction includes both knotting and flatweave techniques, and it has a sculptured appearance. Dimensions are 4'10" x 6'6". Thanks.

Hmm, this is a flat weave rug.... I wonder if it is a soumak???

No. As I mentioned, it's multi-technique: part flatweave/soumac and part knotted. Very interesting and unusual, I think.
