Hello folks, I found this rug today, I only paid $40 american dollars for it, from a woman that said her husband was a collector, he has passed away and she is wanting to get rid of a few rugs, we started off with this rug, it measures 49" inches by 42 inches (124CM by 106CM) I picked it up because it fit perfect in a place near my wife's desk, all I need is ID, country where it is from, maybe a guess with an age, I dont need resale value because the rug just fits perfectly and has that old antique feel to it.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks Catona and Nick, how sure are you Nick? Wow, close to a 100 years old, she said I can get the fringe fixed but I think it looks cool the way it is, it looks and feels really old, and I think the design is amazing, so Karaja is Persian?

The karaja rugs have an interesting history and after looking at pix online, this rug has the karaja type medallion.

Thanks for your input everyone!!
