I want to say hello to all. I found this board while searching for an ID on a rug I had recently purchased. Reading the postings, I could see a lot of real expertise so I joined. I mostly buy things I like and hang on to them. Occasionally I sell a few. But rug sales are not a significant factor to me. (I mostly sell cameras, sporting goods, antiques, books and whatever) The first rugs I bought were at Edelmann Galleries in NYC, a few blocks north of Sothebies. I still have a couple from there. That would be 1980's. Now, I mostly buy at antique and flea markets where I am selling. But there is a limit to how many I can collect. I only have so many floors! I like this forum and I will post some other rugs that I don't need help with.

Welcome to the boards. Edelmann was a reputable company, previously the head of the carpet department for Sotheby Parke Barnett
