The design is bijar, the carpet was likely made in India in/around 1980's

Thank you a Rug Pro! I had thought it was a bijar style...I guess I'm finally learning from reading Rug Rag : ) This rug has a wonderful thick very soft pile and is in very good condition. I will assume my 20 dollar bargain was a good one!!!

yes, 20 bucks would be a very very good bargain provided its in relatively good shape without any big condition issue

Great! The rug is in perfect condition except for one dime sized spot which looks like surface dirt that can be removed with general cleaning. Your expertise made my morning! Thanks! : )
