This is a very busy, with repeated floral details, hand knotted lavendar colored rug, 9' by 12'1". I read about these in one of my books. Is this a 20th century Arts and Craft rug made for a designer in Afghanistan? I have not seen this is person, but will be seeing it next week. Thanks.

They are up for auction and come from the estateo of a well known novelist who recently died. They have the rose design with the camel background listed as 'Hand Knotted Oriental rug' and the Lavender one listed as a 'Kashmar Design Hand Knotted Oriental rug'. They both have a low suggested price on them of $300-$500. They are not my taste, but I was curious about them. Thanks RugPro.
