This rug is @8' by 6' and is for sale in a resale shop for $150. The background color looks back, but it more of a dark, blackish green. It is dirty but looksiThere is a shadow of a stain in one corner, which looks water soluble, but overall it seems in good condition. I am thinking about getting this for one of my kids.
Is this Turkish? Since it is a lerger size, is it tribal? Is it in a Konya style -- on the border and medallion with the ends that looks like crab claws? lease let me know when you can. He is holding it for me now until we can come see it without the other shop stuff on top of it.

maybe not worth much like not in the thousands but I think it would have been a very good value - it's a turkish rug maybe yoruk/ dosemealti. Where else are you going to get a wool rug handmade that inexpensive in that size - if it's in good condition, why not.

Hmm, low end, but value for the price. I think I will go ahead and purchase. Since I took early retirement a few months ago, I have more time to look at our rugs and other for sale rugs. Even my daughter has been bitten by the rugbug and recently joined RugRag. Apologize for all typos-- spell check recorrects words I correct and sometimes with embarrazing revisions-- newbie was corrected to nubile which I recorrected to newbie which was recorrected to nubie. I really do know how to spell!! Sorry for this aside-- thanks for all the help.

Would just second (third/fourth) that it looks like a Turkish, probably Dosemealti, not a high end rug by any means but a great price for being handmade and in that size. If you like it, buy it!

Thank you all for all your comments . I did go back and purchase it. I thought it was Turkish so I am learning-- it is not one of my collectibles, but it looks good.Just wanted gto be sure it was not a Indo Asian knock off. Thanks again.
