Hello everyone,
I was wondering if any of you experts could help me with a more precise identification of this rug. It's supposedly Caucasian, bought on eBay a few years ago. It measures 1.25 x 80 m. The back is not heavily ribbed. I think there is some silk in it because of the feel. The pile is short but complete. I have had it on a wall, rather than on the floor.

I'm afraid the photos are a bit too small, even though I tried resizing. If that's the case, I'll try to repost.

no prob. knotting looks more like khorossan area than anything else. do you have a close up of the flatweave / fringe

To me, this piece looks more Turkish than anything else. If it is not going to cost too much, I would have it professionally cleaned and restored, and I would keep using it as a nice wall hanging.

I keep attaching files instead of photos. I don't understand why it worked the other day and not today. Anyway, those two files show the flatweave.
