We have had these for many years. I originally used them on the table, then draped over the seat cushion and now on the back of the club leather chairs. I have seen a lot of these covers on different sites and I was wondering what type these are and if they have any value. It looks like they have a high knot count, but I may be counting some knots twice. Also, one is slightly faded from exposure to the sun. The kelim of the faded one has loss some of it burnished brown weave, the other one appears to be intact. I would appreciate your opinions when you get a chance.
Thanks!

I am not a fan of bag covers but these are particularly beautiful. Do you have more photos? These seem to be somewhat low in resolution and light.

I am so sorry-- I have had a hard time posting pics that are small enough to post. Hopefully all of these will post this time. Sorry for the trouble.

it looks like qashqai. very beautiful. age probably 1900, could be a little earlier maybe. they're similar to the one on skinner, but the one at skinner has silk warp apparently, yours may be a bit newer, and the border is different. very nice colors and yellow in yours

Thank you for identifying these bagfaces. From your reference, I found the Qashqai bag in the Skinner March, 2014 auction. The similarity is amazing. I noticed on the back of my bagface several 1/2 to 1 inch long brown silken strings and one white silken string in various places sticking out. I tried the silk burn test on one of the brown ones and the one white one. They both behaved as silk-- not catching fire, but immediately curl and burn in a black ball with little or no smoke. I compared this to a worsted wool string (not from this bagface) and it behaved as wool does-- caught wire and curled back toward the tweezers and eventually self-extinguished. The weft appears to be brownish and there is a lot of very shiny 'silk-like wool' in this piece. SO, it may have a silk weft and silk highlights. The resolution is so high on many of the pics that I have to post lower resolution pics and some of the appearance is muted. Thanks so much for identifying this bag for me-- I never would have been able to identify it.
