Old Hamadan Region rug with Archor end medallion- Can you help me identify it???

This is a rug we have had for more than 25 years. It has always been on the floor in a low traffic area and I repaired the selvedges early on. It has seen some wear, but I still like it and want to know what it is. If I know what I know now, I would have cared for it differently. Please look at and let me know what type it is and how old it is.. Thanks so much.

It appears to be a Persian Taleghan and the age is about 50 to 60 years old. A nice piece that has aged well. I would take care of the wear and make sure the ends are secured so you dont start to gradually lose the rug from the ends. First Floor, unit 9 1 Chandos Road London NW10 6NF UK www.sharafiandco.com
