This is my 2nd entry on the forum and I did not post enough pictures in the first one. My apologies.
Please help me identify this rug -- hopefully these pics can be useful.

What a stunning impression this rug, design and colors have - do you have photos of the reverse side?

I have a picture of the back with a ruler, but its resolution is too high and am taking another picture of the back and attaching it.

I am pretty sure this is a unique Heriz or migratory weaver. Very cool. The dyes are potentially a little suspect - it would be best to see the rug outside under natural daylight. Thank you for sharing

Hello,
It is good to know that my rug is a migrant Heriz weaver. I have been calling it a Tabriz, a Bakhtiari and Ferahan based on everyone's feedback. Here are a few more pics that I will post together so that I can provide the proper documentation. Please take a look at all of these again. The colors are vibrant, but they look clean to me. When you say the colors look suspect, are you saying that the colors are strange or dyed?
Here is a set of pics for this one rug only. Please take one last look and let me know if you still feel it is a Heriz and has suspect colors. Thanks so much for your time.

On the back of the rug there is a little run, especially in and around the medallion - does this show through on the front? In some of the photos the color had a bit of an unusual luminescence that is probably just from mixed light sources.

I don't know if I could stand behind this being Heriz, but it is a very interesting and unique carpet. It would best be seen in person by someone who can handle it and feel it.

With all due respect to Rugpro this is a Farahan from the village of Farahan (at the time of weaving), which is now a town. A very pretty piece. You find Saruk Farahans similar to this but not often in cream but Farahan itself in this design and colour not often found. The most common design from this town is Mahi (fish) or Herati design.
