I picked this up the other day for $80. It's 8'9'' x 11'10'' and seems to be fairly worn, but I thought it would cover the floor in the den quite nicely until it was at some point sold. The guy I bought it from had no idea where it was from. I'm curious to find out the approximate age and origin.

It is a persian handknotted rug. It was made in the city of Mashad about 30 years ago. The design is from the city of Kashan.
