New Abadeh rug bought in Toronto

I live in Toronto and just purchased (from Persian Rugs Canada) a new 3' x 5' rug from Abadeh at a price of 690$. My research tells me that this is a decent price and I was impressed with the quality of the rug. But I am just a beginner, so I am curious about what the forum thinks. I bought this rug for the purpose of sitting and playing tabla on it. I know that these rugs can last a lifetime, and I will probably not buy another, so I was willing to buy a very high quality rug, but I am afraid that I did not aim high enough. Let me know your opinion.

That would basically be a retail price. This piece is not all that old
