Would appreciate help identifying and estimating value of a rug

I inherited a Persian rug but am a bit wary of local dealers so I thought I would ask for some assistance in identifying it and placing a value. Measures around 40" X 60" -the pile is very short, is wool on cotton, vegetal dyes, I believe. The knots are quite small and close together.
Photos attached. Let me know if there is other info needed.

please take a look at the images necessary for forum posting. I think you need a selvage photo and fringe going into the rug from the reverse side of the carpet

The fringe ends were rather ragged and so were secured with a whip-stitch some time ago by a conservator.

at first this looked like a possibility of farahan sarouk around 1910. but now seeing it closer there is something that doesnt quite look right about the knotting and colors for this. I think this is one of those pieces that should be seen in person.
