I am thinking I'd like to purchase this, it gives me such a nice feeling, I love the designs. The price is $300. Any ideas what it may be?

seems ok. appears to be an ardabil rug from iran with caucasian / perpedil design

Thanks rug pro. You've given me some great info here. Any clue of the approximate age? I've read elsewhere that turquoise is a more modern dye to be use in Ardabil carpets.

Would agree with that assessment, we have one very similar here. Good price if in good condition.

You guys have been a great help, thanks. I ended up picking this carpet up at $250. The size is 4' 7'' x 6' 8''. There is some damage to one of the selvages as can be seen in the attached photos. Other than that the rug appears to be in good condition. Can anyone estimate a value?

Little-Persia, could you post or send me a link to the similar carpet you've got for sale at your place? I would like to be able to compare and contrast. By the way, I cruised around on your site the other day for like two hours, what a wonderful thing it is!
