Any help appreciated on this "family heirloom" lost in the garage for a generation. Looks machine woven, but should be at least very early 20th century. From my research it seems a tree and animal prayer rug. I'm guessing Persian but I'd love to know more, including a translation of the script in the cartouche.
Links are to images of the whole rug, cartouche, quarter veiw, and selvedge.
