I am new to these rugs and have fallen in love with many allover Heriz designs that I can not afford- I have seen them in reputable brick and mortar stores for $12-20,000 but then come across one like this on ebay. Where's the real price? Which is the best quality or truest to value? I would love some expert evaluation of this posting and hear some thoughts- Thanks in advance! http://rover.ebay.com/ro...9&mtid=824&kw=lg

To me the rug looks very good. So good I would be careful. From what I see it seems that the rug has very low pile, knotheads and foundation visible. The white cotton was most likely painted in the color of the wool. Using the rug will make the color wear and the white come out again. This is what I think looking at the picturs posted on the ebay site. Painting worn rugs is very common on ebay - dealer give rugs some make up, but looking closer might bring out the real condition.

totally agree with KAD, if it was in a shop I would say the price is fair but on ebay I would not really want to pay more than $2000 with the notes that KAD has made First Floor, unit 9 1 Chandos Road London NW10 6NF UK www.sharafiandco.com
