Hello! Any thoughts on this rug? I need a large rug for the living room and I'm considering this one, even though I know it's not "super fine" as the Ebay description suggests. I'm tempted because the seller has mostly high quality reviews, and the rug is neutral color and large.

Questions:

- Description says "hand woven." Can you tell if it is hand tufted or hand hooked? (The 8th picture shows the backside of the rug, though it's not a detail shot per se.)
- My impression is hand hooked is slightly better than hand tufted; is that true?
- Any other impressions or experiences buying from RugEmporium? Searched the forum and didn't see any prior discussions about this seller.

I think it is handknotted but I dont think its Persian. I also dont think you will get it any thing near that price as the seller will probably make sure. Anyway you can always give it a go but very good price for what it appears to be. I dont really trust people you have write ups like he has "SUPER FINE VEG DYE OUSHAK CHOBI TABRIZ SERAPI HERIZ 12x15 CAUCASIAN TURKISH RUG", too much nonesense.

The rug was made in India, design is oushak. Not a superb rug but it is handknotted with wool.

Judy..that carpet is being sold by a dealer..
Your not really expecting to be able to get a healthy $600-1200 Carpet for $200 from a retail shoppe are you..?
