Hello all,
I just washed this Hamadan rug and it came out pretty nice. It measures 41x76 inches (104x195 cm). Typical Hamadan single-wefted construction with white cotton warps and white-to-tan wool wefts.

My question is, can the rug's village of origin and the approximate age be determined from these pictures?

By the way, for anyone interested in Hamadan rugs, I will pass along a reference given to me by KAD: Gereh magazine issues 16 and 17 have a nice 2-part series on the history of Hamadan and some beautiful examples of rugs. By Taher Sabahi.

As always, thanks in advance!

Hi TMC. Initially I thought it was a Zanjan but looking at the colours and the back I think it is a Lilihan and it seems to be Circa 1940 but in very good condition.
