Hello,

I'm new to this forum and already enjoyed reading the various topics. Since I'm very interested in the art of rugs,
I wanted to show you a piece of mine:
As I was told , this should be a 100 year old Qum. Exact size is 258 x 191 cm , it has 250.000 knots per m2.
Any information on value of this carpet would be appreciated.

Can I first ask you to reconsider using direct load again as it throws up a lot of pop ups. It is a very pretty rug and I am assuming that it has no silk highlight. I am pretty certain that it is not 100 years old but about 50 at a push. It is certainly pre revolution. As for value, these pieces are not so much in demand even though this one is a pretty one. As you might know there are different values one can give. Auction, retail or replacement value. In my opinion the replacement value of this piece is $5000.

Nice rug, could also be an old Yazd. Don't think it's 100 years old though.
