It doesn't appear to be a repair patch, and there is nothing rotten on the rug (but I do not have a trained eye). I will try to get higher resolution pictures and repost. I found this in a pile of rugs in a consignment shop and paid only $300. The consignment shop had no idea how big the rug was until we picked it up and had it cleaned. The rug cleaner indicated that this was a rug we needed to get appraised. It is wool (and a pretty thick pile). The pile is a little uneven. Are there any other types of pictures/information that I should get you?
