I know I've previously seen this border which I would guess is a trellis. Of course now I can't remember where I saw it and can't find it. At first glance I thought it was farsi.
I bought it yesterday and won't get it until next week and I'll go crazy by that time trying to figuring it out.
KPSI is around 300

Any help would be appreciated. Seller had limited knowledge of rugs.

Thanks,

Is it an antique fereghan? I think I see the small blue weft thread or maybe I' just hoping to see it Atleast to my eye it has some amazing work when you examine the interesting brown and vines behind them

Nice rug (very regular knotting) and really unusual.

It is an old qum rug from the 1960`s.

Amazing how if you look at something long enough you can believe what isn't there. Like thinking a qum rug is an fereghan
when your first thought was an Isfahan.
