Could anyone

Can anyone help ID and age of this 8X10. I know there were 17th century Isfahan's with floral and cloud bands so I don't know if this is Tabriz trying to copy that design or pre WWII Isfahan or what. Obviously it has wear, is not a fine rug and has one section of top into the pile, but it has a nice patina and colors to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

please help me with an ID and age of this rug. I know there are very very old Isfahan

Sorry don't know what happened there. ID please on a 8X10 with low pile and a couple other problems, but colors and patina that interest me. I know there were 17th century Isfahan's with floral and cloud bands so I don't know if this is a Tabriz copy

A bit difficult to tell from the pics. 2 things possible.

1. Iranian Tabriz, very nice Colors and design. Made around 1950 / 60.

2. Romanian reproduction of Tabriz. Usually the early reproductions are so good it is almost impossible to tell without touching the rug. Most of the time it is possible to identify it from the fringes, they have different spun Cotton. But on this rug the fringes are worn too much to tell.

My personal tip would be iranian 85%.

As always, thanks KAD. I know condition is everything, but that is for resale. In this case for my use and place it will be the condition gives an added sense of age. shabby chic if you will. The cloud bands also make it nice although someone could mistake it for the Rug Rag mark, well maybe not

There are is foundation showing but there are low spots. You can't see them unless you're literally standing on top of them.
There is also a three inch spot on the top where about an inch of the border has come unraveled.

That why I was thinking it might be a little older. Obviously wear isn't a sign of age, but age makes wear more forgivable for me at least.

That should have read "no foundation showing"
