Hereke silk rug confirmation/valuation

Hi,

recently I bought this nice turkish rug - seller claims it's a turkish Hereke rug from 1970s. The rug is signed (top center), there are a number of areas with gold threads. No sign of wear. Knot density is about 1.000.000 per square meter.
Rug size is 3'2'' x 1'11''.

Based on other Hereke examples I have seen, I think the seller is honest in his statements.

What is your opinion about it? How much do you think it's worth?

Don't see anything far out with it, unsure of age, closer to 900,000 knots per metre square (around 575 kpsi).

How much did you pay for it?

I didn't want to list the price, so any valuation would not be biased. What do you think it's worth?

Your rug is a top quality turkish Hereke rug, I would date it mid 1980`s. Nice color combination and seems to be in very good condition. Retail price for a new rug today around $2500.00.

If it is silk pile and silk foundation and everything else is accurate in this market today perhaps a value of 1500. In the late 70s and early 80s the value was 3000 but that is how far down the market has dropped. Sadly. A ton were made around 1980. i bought and sold many back then.If the economy comes back rugs like this(collectibles that are just for hanging or to put on a table) will increase in value. Very nice rugs.
