Hello!
I recently bought these 2 rugs at a kind of estate sale. I got them for what I thought was a good deal, too. The first is 2'9" x 4'5". I think it's a turkman or similar. From the web research I've done, it looks like it may be a tekke chuval with an aina(sp) gul. But I really have no clue. It has a high knot count-500 kpsi if I'm counting correctly. I haven't done a burn test but it's very soft.

The second is so beautiful and we are in the process of hanging it! :-D It is a compartmental motif rug that at least has silk highlights and a purple weft. It is 4'3" x 6'6" panel rug. I've seen people selling rugs similar to this one on eBay under the Bakhtiari name. But my limited Internet knowledge has me guessing. I've been checking out some books from the library too but these rugs may be too new.

I believe these are now our finest rugs we have in our collection!! And I LOVE the pretty purple weft! Any help would be so appreciated!!!! Thanks rugrag community!!

Images received rusty,

Looks to me like you have a couple Pakistan Rugs. A Pakistan Bokhara and a Indo Persian design, borrowed from the Baktari people showing the splendor of a Persian garden. Will look great on the wall, let me know if you need advice on hanging the piece.
Kind Regards,

Aw shucks! Was hoping they were priceless, lol!! They are beauties though!
We are still stating at the wall but I think we will figure out the hanging. I've heard that some people sew on Velcro. Don't think we will be going that route. So yes, any advice is welcome :-)
Thanks again!!!

Agreed - first is Pakistan Turkman design, made in the 1970´s with good wool. Second is Indo Persian, looks like a Kashmir Art Silk to me from the back, might also be wool. Both are very nice rugs.
