I don't know if it's from Isfahan, my guess is/was that it's from Nain based on some of the patterns. Any thoughts?

As to price, I paid $300 for it, responding to a local advertisement on craigslist. Regarding the washed fringe, the guy had hosed it down in his backyard here in the middle of cold snap, so we had to do our best to dry it out.

Thanks for the info - if you don't mind, would you tell me what factors are involved in determining the origin? I love learning about rugs. Also, can you estimate a nominal replacement value?
