Hi. I am looking for assistance with a preliminary identification of a rug (century, type, etc). This rug given to be my a former boss from her $3M condo on Beacon Hill in Boston (she had a LOT of period pieces). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Some additional details....the rug is approximately 7 1/2 ft x 14 ft with fringe on the shorter edges.

I also identified a tag on the back. Does anyone know what it might mean?

the tag is a number, 7337. Might be an inventory # or similar. I'm not an expert, so take this with a grain of salt, but the rug looks caucasian.

Rug is from Iran, Meshkin or Ardabil origin. Due to strong wear no great value. Made 1950 / 60.

Design is certainly shows Caucasian influence, origin is Persia as KAD states age and area Meshkin/Ardebil mid century piece

Would you bother getting it appraised? If we were to list it for sale, what would be a fair price?
