Hello everyone,
I am very happy to have found this forum and hope you can help me. I have been given several Persian carpets and I don’t do not know anything about them. I would highly appreciate the help and the more information you can give me the better.

The first carpet I need Identification and Appraisal for comes as a pair, each one’s dimension 80 x 140 cm.

Thanks Jasmin

What is the background on these? Are you certain they're Persian? The designs are Caucasian, and structure looks like it may be similar to Persian, but perhaps others as well

I live in Jordan and they came from Iraq (many Persian carpets come to Jordan this way). My father brought them and several others 6 years ago, and now has given them to me. Thanks

they could be Persian, Iraqi, Egyptian, Chinese, Turkish.... My vote is Turkish. Combining everything it just seems to factor down to Turkey. Design is Caucasian with Kufic border

I think egyptian is quite the right track. Caucasian desing in silk is often made in Egypt.
