Hello,
This is my first post. I am hoping to get some help could help identifying these rugs that my husband brought back from overseas. They are new, never used, and we are running into hard times and thinking of selling them. They all have a tag on the back that says "QUM" and has the dimensions in centimeters but that's it. I tried to do some research on my own to identify them and my head is spinning from so many options, styles, weaves, knots, piles, etc...I'm way out of my league. Any help or guidance would be very greatly appreciated. I'm aware that online estimations of value are hard to do but I'm really just trying to figure out in general terms what they are, and if they're worth selling, or getting appraised by someone in person.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to post pics on here (it may be that I'm on a mac and the insert pic option isn't working for me) so if anyone thinks they can help me with any insight or guidance please let me know and I can send you pics via email.

Qum: 48x31 (I think it's a tree of life with signature of some sort as shown in pic and this is the only one with special knotting at the fringe) (2 pics)

nice pieces although the colors and designs hint to them being a tourist type merchandise. Although the quality and detail are probably quite good, stronger top colors in bright tones and these designs are not quite what we normally see in carpets here in the states. Do the rugs have any curling?

@RugPro-Thank u for responding! With regards to your question about curling, these rugs were rolled and kept in storage so they may have a tendency to retain that shape until given a chance to lie flat for a little. However, I know nothing about these things so any help in identifying them or general info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

If you are looking to keep them, they're are worth having appraised in person if your intention is to have them insured for replacement. If you're looking to sell them, as a private seller I would recommend selling based on your purchase price.
