Indeed, I'm surprised that no one at the rug store caught it was a repro, but it was just a floor employee who reviewed it as the owner was out. As I was trying to photograph and post it I noticed that it doesn't look like any of my more recently purchased pieces and that made me worry it might not be authentic.

Oh well, I will use it as a "learning" piece for basic repairs and painting so I don't mess up one of the nicer pieces I've since purchased.
